10 Jahre Perivoli

When Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat first opened its doors in 2009, the idea was not just to be another hotel where guests could drop their luggage, sleep and go. The dream was to create an authentic experience of Greek hospitality in its beautiful natural surroundings of Pyrgiotika with an emphasis on agritourism.

Ten years later, we are proud to say that the journey has been amazing, with our guests really getting a feel of our home, our region, its culture and history. From the moment someone arrives at Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat, our aim is to make them forget the stress of everyday life and immerse themselves in a rural vacation full of rich experiences. The hotel itself has been designed in accordance with the traditional architectural features of the area and sits on a hilltop amongst orange and olive groves. It may be in a rural setting, but its facilities offer a luxurious stay for guests who also seek comfort, as well as being one of the few hotels in Nafplio to offer rooms with ease of access to guests with mobility issues. Our Farm-to-Table Restaurant, on the other hand, serves authentic dishes, prepared with local and organic ingredients – and based on the seasonal bounty of our land.

The past decade has seen guests enjoying all of the alternative outdoor activities that we organize and our focus on agritourism has been really popular, with more and more visitors seeking to have a deeper connection with the environment. We are happy to have brought back the joys of wandering, of exploring and discovering; something that has made us a very popular family destination.

In 2018 we became the proud winners of Luxury Country Hotel – Global Winner in the 2018 World Luxury Hotel Awards. We were also given a Guest Rated Award of 5.0/5 by Expedia, a Local Award by Trivago and a 9.4 Guest Review Award by Booking.com in 2018. Perhaps our most joyous awards of all are those relating to our hospitality philosophy when in June of this year we became officially listed as a Bike Friendly and Hikers Friendly hotel.

We are definitely looking forward to the next ten years and if the past 10 are anything to go by, we are optimistic that we will acquire even more new friends. Our guests learn more about the area during their stay and leave feeling enriched and more knowledgeable about all that this wonderful region offers and we are thrilled to be a part of that!
